Las cookies veganas perfectas ▼ Perfect vegan cookies

A falta de unas buenas fotos del taller que impartí en Lugo (aunque llegarán pronto!), he decidido actualizar el blog con una receta de cookies veganas, o mejor dicho, de las cookies veganas perfectas. ¡Y es que no es fácil hacer galletas veganas sin mantequilla, creedme! En la receta os muestro el ingrediente secreto*...Y si tenéis una hadita o un duente de ayudantes de cocina, mejor aún...

Pero no quiero acabar el post, sin contaros que pasé un día precioso en Lugo, que tengo ganas de volver a visitar la ciudad con calma, que es una delicia pasar tiempo al lado de Cristina de ISKOÖ, y que también compartí una tarde hermosa con un montón de mujeres hermosas, fuertes, creativas...una tarde creando y gozando...Gracias mujeres! Éstas cookies van por vosotras! :)

Cookies veganas perfectas

250 gr harina de trigo o espelta
100 gr azúcar de caña ó sirope de ágave
1/2 taza aceite de coco *
80 gr de chips de chocolate negro
1 plátano
1 cucharadita de mantequilla de almendras (o de cualquier otro fruto seco o semilla)
1 cucharadita de levadura Royal
1/2 cucharadita de sal
2 cucharadas de leche de arroz
unas gotitas de vainilla

Batir el aceite de coco, plátano, mantequilla de frutos secos, sal, leche de arroz y vainilla hasta obtener una pasta homogénea. Mezclar el resto de ingredientes en un bowl y añadir la mezcla líquida. Amasar un par de minutos, y dejar reposar 10 en la nevera o en un sitio fresco. Hacer bolitas, aplastarlas un poco y hornear durante 15 ó 20 minutos a 180ºC.

* I don't have good photos from the workshop I teached at Lugo (although coming soon!), so I decided to update the blog with a vegan cookies recipe, or rather, the perfect vegan cookies recipe.And it's not easy to make vegan cookies without butter, believe me! In the recipe I show you *the secret ingredient... And if you have a little fairy or elf helping around, better yet ...

But I don't want to finish this post without telling you that I spent a lovely day at Lugo, that I'm looking forward to visit the city again, that it's a delight to spend time beside Cristina from ISKOÖ, and I also shared a beautiful evening with my wonderful students, all of them beautiful, strong, creative women ... spending an evening creating and enjoying ... I'm still coming home thinking how lucky I am to be able to teach these workshops, from which I learn so much too ... Thanks ladies! These cookies are for you! :)

Perfect Vegan Cookies 

250 gr wheat or spelt flour
100 gr brown sugar or agave syrup
1/2 cup coconut oil *
80 gr dark chocolate chips
1 banana
1 tsp any nut or seed butter
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp rice milk
some vanilla drops

Blend coconut oil, banana, nut butter, salt, rice milk and vanilla until obtain an homogenic paste. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl and add the liquid mixture. Knead for 2 minutes, and let stand 10 min in the fridge or in a cool place. Make balls, flatten slightly and bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 180ªC.

Una hoja * One leaf

Cuando consigo tener un rato para carvar sellos, me encanta hacer modelos de la naturaleza, y siempre que puedo... ¡hojas!

Y hoy os dejo un regalito: he creado una lista en Grooveshark, donde podéis escuchar toda la música que os voy recomendando en cada post. Sólo música buena! Espero que la disfrutéis :)

Crónica de un finde atípico * An unusual weekend chronicle

Por fin me siento a escribir, después de un fin de semana atípico. Un viaje de 300 km en la vieja Volkswagen escuchando a John Frusciante a todo trapo; una tarde de taller, en un hermoso lugar, el Espacio Ur,  rodeada de 8 mujeres geniales, creativas, entregadas; un viaje nocturno hacia una playa desconocida y un amanecer en el paraíso; y un increíble sol y agua cálida (en la costa gallega!) un 5 de Octubre, plenamente dedicado a descansar, pasear, leer, meditar...un sueño, un hermoso sueño...

Aún así, el otro día, cuando me encontraba sentada en la arena, mirando hacia el mar, me preguntaba si ése no era realmente el sitio donde debía de estar. Estás en el paraíso, estás relajada, estás en paz, pero la culpabilidad sigue ahí...Vaya patrón más feo! Como me pilló de buenas, lo dejé pasar, y empecé a dar gracias: Gracias por poder permitirme estar allí. Gracias por poder dedicarme a algo que realmente me gusta. Gracias a todos y todas los que hacéis posible que pueda vivir el sueño de Kirikú. Gracias a todxs lxs amigxs que me ayudáis y apoyáis de mil maneras, y a los que estáis más cerquita, ayudándome a cumplir el sueño cada día...a todos, ¡GRACIAS!

* I finally sit down to write, after an atypical weekend. A journey of 300 km in the old Volkswagen listening to John Frusciante blaring; an afternoon workshop in a beautiful place, Espacio Ur, surrounded by eight great, creative, delivered students; an overnight trip to an unknown beach and a sunrise in paradise; and an incredible sun and warm water (in the Galician coast!) an October 5, fully dedicated to relax, hike, read, meditate ... a dream, a beautiful dream ... 

Still, the other day when I was sitting in the sand, facing the sea, I wondered if that was the place I really should be at. You're in paradise, you're relaxed, you are at peace, but the guilt is still there ... Ugly pattern! As he caught me in a good mood, I let it go, and I began to give thanks: Thanks for allowing me to be there. Thanks for being able to work on something that I really like. Thanks to everyone who makes it possible that I can live the dream of Kirikú. Thanks to every student, every person who has decided to purchase one of my creations, who have trusted me to impart workshops or sell my crafts in your spaces, all my friends that help me support me in a thousand ways, and the ones more close, helping to fulfill the dream every day ... THANK YOU ALL!

Desde que descubrí el carvado de sellos, cada vez estoy más y más metida en el mundo de la estampación, probando técnicas diferentes, leyendo libros especializados sobre el tema como éste, éste ó éste otro, y cada vez alucinando  más con los resultados. Me encantó hacer éste cojín, y confirmar mi nueva pasión por el azul; un color al que no le he prestado demasiada atención durante años y que ahora estoy redescubriendo: nueva ropa azul, el toque frío y especial que le da a todas las fotos, sus múltiples tonalidades en la pintura, tintas, acuarelas...

Listening * Playing: System of a Down - Lonely Day

* Since discovering stamp carving, each time I am more and more into the world of stamping, trying different techniques, reading specialized books on  like this, this or this other, and increasingly amazed at the results. I loved doing this cushion, and confirm my new passion for blue; a color that I have not paid much attention for years and am now rediscovering: new blue clothes, the cold and special touch that gives all the photos, its many hues in paint, inks, watercolors ...

Espacio Ur

Laura es encantadora y trabaja en un sitio muy especial: Espacio Ur. Es un espacio de docencia de creatividad y creación artística. Un lugar donde además de crear su propia obra, y ser punto de encuentro, se imparten clases y talleres de pintura, dibujo, artesanía, diseño...para niños y adultos. Y además, ¡es precioso!

*  Espacio Ur is a place of creativity and artistic expression, where classes and workshops for children and adults are offered. And besides all, it's beautiful!

Un taller de carvado en fotos ▼ A stamp carving workshop in pics

Hago un alto en la pequeña desconexión de la que estoy disfrutando unos días del mes de Agosto - en un lugar alucinante de la Ribeira Sacra - para subir las preciosas fotos que me ha enviado la creativa fotógrafa y mamá Maca, de Y al fin te encontré, del taller de carvado  en Santiago de Compostela. Cuando se junta tanta sensibilidad, habilidad y amor por lo que se hace, yo no puedo hacer más que derretirme.  ¡Muchas gracias por lo aprendido!

* I make a stop at the small break which I'm enjoying a few days of August - in an amazing place of la Ribeira Sacra - to post the lovely photos the creative photographer and mom Maca, from Y al fin te encontré, made at the stamp carving workshop at Santiago de Compostela. When coupled such sensitivity, skills and love for what you do, I can not help but melt, thank you so much Maca! As with my brilliant students, who were also teachers.Thank you for all what you have taught me!

 p.d: Y en Septiembre...me voy a carvar sellos a Vigo! Os cuento todos los detalles a la vuelta del retiro!

Una tarde carvando en dosmilvacas ▼ An evening carving at dosmilvacas

El pasado 8 de Mayo me reuní con 12 personas para carvar sellos en Dosmilvacas. Acariciados por las telas que colgaban de La Cabaña roja, nos pusimos a hacer cosas increíbles. Una de las propuestas del taller era dibujar nuestro propio sello, a partir de trozos de naturaleza que se repartían por encima de las mesas. Y me sorprendió gratamente ver tanta belleza, arte y estilos diferentes en el mismo sitio.

Gracias a todxs por ayudar a crear una tarde tan especial!

* On May 8, I met with 12 students in the art gallery Dosmilvacas to carve stamos. Caressed by the fabrics hanging from La Cabaña Roja, I began to explain everything I knew, while they, gouge in hand, began to do incredible things. One of the proposals of the workshop was to draw their own stamp, from pieces of nature that were distributed over the tables. And I was pleasantly surprised to see so much beauty, art and many different styles at the same place.
