La última visita a La Huerta ▼ The last visit to La Huerta

Éstas fotos son de la última vez que bajé a La Huerta. Después de una mañana de niebla el cielo se despejó, y Lara, Abril y yo decidimos bajar a cosechar verduras a la huerta, no porque nos hicieran falta, sino porque era la excusa para salir a que el sol nos calentase la cara y las manos. Capturé los últimos tomates y flores, y un hermoso repollo. Después de las primeras heladas, estoy segura de que las cosas han debido de cambiar mucho ahí abajo...por eso pienso que es la última visita a la huerta que plantamos y vimos nacer en primavera,  que regamos y cosechamos en verano, y que nos deleitó a principios de otoño...Cuando volvamos será para plantar los ajos y habas de mayo, y para cosechar las raíces que han quedado escondidas bajo la tierra vacía y fría...¡Bienvenida huerta de invierno!

* These photos are from the last time I went down to La Huerta. After a foggy morning the sky cleared, and Lara, Abril and I decided to go down to the garden to harvest vegetables, not because we needed, but because it was an excuse to go out to get our faces and hands warmed by the sun. I captured the last tomatoes and flowers, and a beautiful cabbage. After the first frost, I'm sure things have had to change a lot down there ... so I think that it is the last visit to the garden that we planted and saw born in the spring, we irrigate and harvest in summer, and delighted us in early autumn ... When we came again it will be for planting garlic and beans, and harvest the roots that have been hidden under the earth empty and cold ... Welcome winter garden!
